Pre-Orders & Sales
Terms of Sale
The terms that apply when you pre-order or buy a disc or collection from Normal Shoes, including your right to cancel.
Last updated: October 2026
1. About us
These terms apply to orders placed with Normal Shoes, a small UK business, of Flat 113, Mariner Point, 83 Brighton Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 6DH. You can contact us at normalshoeseditions@gmail.com.
These terms are for consumers buying for personal use. Nothing in them affects your legal rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. How pre-orders work
- Submitting a pre-order form on this website registers a pre-order request. It doesn't take any payment and doesn't yet form a contract.
- Alternatively, you can pay by card straight away using the secure Stripe payment window on the Hastings Rocks page or an Archive release page. Your order is placed when you complete that payment, and we'll confirm it by email.
- If you register a request instead, we'll email you to confirm your order and expected dispatch date, with payment details (we accept bank transfer). A contract is formed only when we confirm your order by email and you complete payment.
- If a release is delayed, we'll let you know. If it's cancelled or we can't supply it, we'll tell you and refund anything you've paid in full.
3. Price, delivery and payment
- Price: £19.99 per copy (Hastings Rocks Collection and Archive releases, including Brimful Bellies & Bad Behaviour).
- Delivery: £3.95 to UK mainland addresses. Delivery outside UK mainland is quoted on request — we'll confirm the cost by email before you pay.
- Payment: by card or bank transfer. You can pay by card at checkout in the Stripe payment window on the Hastings Rocks page or an Archive release page or, if you register a pre-order request instead, we'll email you payment details (by bank transfer) when we confirm your order. No payment is taken through the request forms on this website.
The price and delivery cost shown at checkout (or confirmed in our email) are the total you'll pay. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number, and we never ask for card details through the website forms.
We'll deliver to the address you give us, within the timescale we confirm by email — and, unless we agree otherwise, no later than 30 days after your order is confirmed (or after the release date, for pre-orders). The goods are your responsibility once they've been delivered to you or someone you've nominated.
4. Your right to cancel (14 days)
You can cancel your order at any time before it's dispatched. You also have a legal right to change your mind and cancel within 14 days of the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods, without giving a reason.
Exceptions
The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to:
- Personalised or custom-made goods — items made to your specifications or clearly personalised, such as bespoke Blu-ray mastering, authoring and packaging of your own film.
- Sealed discs that have been unsealed — where a Blu-ray or other video recording is supplied sealed and you unseal it after delivery.
Where we provide a service (for example, mastering work) and you ask us to start during the cancellation period, you may have to pay for the work done up to the point you cancel. These exceptions don't affect your rights if goods are faulty (see section 6).
How to cancel
Email us at normalshoeseditions@gmail.com or write to us at the address above with a clear statement that you want to cancel, including your name, address and order details. You can use the wording below if you like, but you don't have to:
“To Normal Shoes, Flat 113, Mariner Point, 83 Brighton Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 6DH, normalshoeseditions@gmail.com: I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the sale of the following goods: ________. Ordered on / received on: ________. Name: ________. Address: ________. Date: ________.”
To meet the deadline, you just need to send your cancellation before the 14-day period ends.
Returning goods
If you've already received the goods, please send them back to the address above within 14 days of telling us you're cancelling. Unless the goods are faulty or not as described, you'll pay the cost of returning them. Please take reasonable care of them — we may reduce your refund if their value has gone down because they've been handled more than was needed to inspect them.
5. Refunds
- We'll refund the price you paid, including the standard delivery charge, without undue delay.
- If you cancel before we've dispatched anything, we'll refund you within 14 days of you telling us.
- If we've delivered the goods, we'll refund you within 14 days of receiving them back, or of you giving us evidence that you've sent them back, whichever is earlier.
- We'll refund you using the same method you paid with (to your card via Stripe, or to your bank account if you paid by bank transfer), unless we agree otherwise, and we won't charge you a fee for the refund.
6. Faulty goods — your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
Everything we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a disc or its packaging is faulty or not as described:
- within 30 days of delivery you can reject it and get a full refund;
- after that, or if you prefer, you can ask us to repair or replace it;
- if a repair or replacement isn't possible or doesn't fix the problem, you can ask for a price reduction or a refund;
- if a fault shows up within six months of delivery, it's presumed to have been there when you received it unless we can show otherwise.
Any services we provide will be carried out with reasonable care and skill. For faulty items, email us with your order details and, if possible, a photo of the problem. We'll cover reasonable return costs for faulty goods.

7. Your information
We use the details you give us to handle your order, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
8. Problems and the law that applies
If you have a problem, please email us first and we'll do our best to sort it out quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
